18TH CENTURY SKILLS WORKSHOPS.

This past weekend we held our fist two skills workshops, 18th century dressmaking and tailoring was run by my wife Carolyn. This was a very short but informative discussion covering period shirts and men's working frocks and some information on weaving.
The other workshop was Primitive sel-bow construction, run by close friend and group member Mark Jones from Uralla NSW. Mark is a knife maker and bowyer by trade. Mark not only did an excellent job on teaching group members, but he also supplied group members with ready cut out bow staves Free of charge (the workshop is also free to members)!!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank both primitive skills tutors for the time and effort they both put into these ongoing workshops.
If anyone is interested in purchasing a ready made custom bow from Mark Jones, he can be contacted at: mjones05@bigpond.net.au
Regards, Keith.
