Some things seemed fairly priced at 1 beaver, others seemed a bit over-priced. On the other hand, the firearms seemed dirt cheap.

Gorges. Yes I thought the same. Some items were marked up 100%, other items at 600%. The price structure apparently based on the prices the furs sold for in Quebec, but I still find that hard to get my head around!
