Axemanship.

I found this video over at Wood Trekker http://woodtrekker.blogspot.com/2011/01/handtools-for-trail-work.html  there is also a video there on the use of a crosscut saw.  I have been using felling axes and hatchets since I was about 10 years of age. Even so, you have to keep your mind on the job and remind yourself sometimes not to risk taking short cuts. Axe work is slow work most of the time, so enjoy it, take your time and stay safe. This video is well worth watching.
