This video was produced by one of our group members and a good friend of mine known as Mopoke. I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did.

Another Tomahawk Head.

I made this one this afternoon from a hatchet head, along with a new helve made from a broken felling axe helve, which is now soaking in lindseed oil.

Woodland Foot Powered Lathe.

If you look carefully toward the end of this video you can see that three trees are being used for this lathe, and you can see the wedge that sets the pressure on the spindle.

FREE Book give away & Recruiting for the New England Colonial Living History Group.

I am extending the offer of the Primitive Skills Book give away until the end of September. The first 5 people granted membership to our group before the end of September will recieve a copy of my book "Primitive Fire Lighting-Flint & Steel".

This is only open to those members who can actually attend our meetings near Armidale and participate in our activities.

If you THINK that you MIGHT be genuinely interested in joining our group then we would be very pleased to have you visit so that we can explain what our group is and what we do.

I can be contacted on Phone: 67 755 292, or you can contact me through this blog.
