Hi John. Actually I am not a fan of Ray Mears, though I think he is a good presenter. He does not give all the info on some skills, and I am left with the feeling that he has just learnt the skill and presents it with no experience. I suppose I pick this up more because I too know these skills. I also dislike the use of ferocium rods to make fire in period presentations of flint & steel fire lighting. However, I thought he did present this one well and it was worth posting.
