French and Indian War Cartridge Box.

These images from the: Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution, by George C. Neumann & Frank J. Kravic.

Below is the one I made from a description in this same encyclopedia, but with no image to copy. This is not a military box as such, I made it for militia use.

Wonderful post, thank you.

Long-unenforced law here in the States requires me to keep--among other things--a musket or rifle and an appropriate cartridge box for militia service, and I've toyed with the idea of complying with it just-because. These images show me I've been overestimating the difficulty of making a cartridge box.

You are welcome Elmo, good to know it was of use to you.
