Las Perlas Survival.

I found this video on one of the blogs that I follow: http://ancestralskills.blogspot.com/   This chap's name is Owen. He does use a knife to make the parts of his fire-bow/bow-drill, but even so he does an excellent job of the video, and making fire.
Owen was lucky enough to find some cordage on the beach, but if he had not, then he could have made cordage. Also if he had found some tinder he could have added it to the tinder dust to make sure he did not lose the glowing ember. However, he did make fire, and that was the main part of the exercise, and I think he did an excellent job. This is now one of my favourite videos.
Well done Owen.
