18TH CENTURY LIVING HISTORY, HISTORICAL TREKKING, AND LONG TERM SURVIVAL.
When I lived in Chile, I heard of people putting drinking water into a pottery jug and letting the evaporative capabilities of the ceramics cool the contents of the jug. I'm not sure if the interrior, exterior or bothe surfaces of the jug were glazed.
It would have been unglazed I would imagine Steve. I always find it interesting that different cultures use so many of the same items & methods in their daily living. Thanks for the feedback Steve, much obliged.Keith.
