The Australian Mistletoe Berry. Is It Toxic?

Since making the post on the Mistletoe berries as food, I have been told that they are toxic & NOT edible. Now I have eaten these in the past, but that may not prove anything, so I would appreciate it if anyone has further information on this plant.

There are apparently a lot of different types of mistletoe in Australia. I know the types most commonly found here in America are considered inedible but probably not outright poisonous.

Australian mistletoe Amyema maidenii seems to be edible. More info at sites below:
