It looks like Holder Brothers did some excellent work. There was a recent reconstruction in one of our local parks by volunteers. Due to knowing nothing about traditional techniques, they used chainsaws to make rough, upside-down notches in old salvaged hewn logs. I don't give them ten years before the joints are rotted out. Such a waste of precious materials!

What a pitty. You would have thought that they would do a little research first if they had no previous experience. As you say, what a waste.
