My BIG axe, but not for trekking!
Eleven and a quarter inches from poll to cutting edge. This is apparently a felling axe, the largest one I have ever seen. There is an image of the same pattern in the back of the "Encyclopedia Of The American Revolution".

Is there a makers name on the other side of the poll?
It looks like 7lbs felling axe, British made.
I think it may be EWELL John.
Keith.
