I guess the participants learned some things but that particular "House" made me very disappointed... and especially disappointed in the producers for selecting a cast that refused to try to follow the codes of behavior history expected. The producers themselves abandoned all sense of order and commitment both to the purpose of the series, and the expectations of the 17th century.
The 1940s House is my favorite, I actually own a copy of the DVD and intend to buy the book one of these days. The family did such a fine job of trying to be true to their heritage. I was so proud of them all at the end!
This may be my first comment on your blog, but I have been reading it for a long time. Thank you for sharing so much interesting and useful knowledge with us all.
