Hello Keith,
Thanks for the photo. It was the only one on the web I could find that was pre-revolutionary war. Americans seem to forget that George Washington complained in 1779 that he still couldn’t get uniforms for all of his soldiers. We take post-revolutionary war images and apply them to the French and Indian War, and before.

About the lovely musket—is that a 52” barrel? Black powder?
