An absolute shame. It doesn't sound like they will be excavating with a trowel and a brush does it? Its all heritage they can never get back. Price of progress I suppose. Dave
I wonder what would have happened if it was a native site they had found? I know that the local new Coles complex was halted because of a native site found. There is now a show case on the corner of the building where the items were discovered.
Doesn't sound like they're putting much effort into research and documentation.

ReplyDeleteA native site would have carried more weight in their eyes I imagine. Shame the two weren't found together. It wouldn't be unusual I suspect.
