Hi Bob.I try to add the odd piece of Australia now and then, but it is far too late for my period of interest. Also there is not actually much in this period of Australia that is fun to reenact for living history purposes. The subsequent slaughter of the natives here is something I avoide. A close friend of mine in Victoria started his own group, and one of his members is an Australian Aboriginal. But he chooses to reenact the lifestyle in the New World. Mostly because it is more fun.
It´s sad how our culture always seems to slaughter the "deviants", indigenic people, that is. And we still continue. Even in these days, the Fayu in Papua, the Yanonami in the Amazonas area and many more are subject to butchering. No fun at all.
I'd never heard of THAT William Buckley!
ReplyDeleteI saved the other parts for later. I'm surprised you don't have more about the Aborigines.
