  2. Thanks SWB. If the sides of the mukluks had flaps on them it would keep the snow and sticks out better. You can also make a larger pair of moccasins for really cold weather and wear two pairs. The moccasin liners are still used today, I used to make mine out of blanket material, but now in winter I wear long woolen 18th century style stockings.
