This poster does rather infer that Living History UK is all about 20th century warfare, but I think you will find that their interests are across the historical board. Well worth checking them out, especially if you are living in the UK.

This is claimed to be the remains of an 18th century clay pipe stem dipped in red wax to stop the stem from sticking to the smoker's lips. Found in the mud of the Thames, London UK.

We have these growing in the forest in the bottom of Butterfly Valley near Cattail Pond. The roots can apparently be roasted & eaten though I have not tried any yet.
Habitat: New England NSW & parts of America.
